The Bella Belt Bag is a vibrant fusion of culture, craftsmanship, and versatility. Handcrafted in Guatemala, each bag is truly one of a kind, featuring a portion of vintage huipil fabric—the traditional, colorful textile worn by indigenous women. The interior is lined with vintage corte fabric, repurposed from skirts worn in these same communities.

We use vegetable-tanned leather, a natural tanning process using bark and leaves as tannins. Unlike chrome tanning—which often produces consistent, mark-free leather at the expense of local ecosystems—our leather has a unique character, with charming inconsistencies and subtle markings that tell a story. These markings can often be minimized with a small amount of leather conditioner.
