At the heart of Grace & Fire is something far more meaningful than a product.
It is a relationship. A collaboration. A collective of women whose artistry carries generations of culture, resilience, and beauty in every thread.

With over 70% or children in rural villages challenged with malnutrition, and over 25% recorded deaths in infants due to food scarcity. Job opportunities, especially for women is vital. Mothers in Guatemala face devastating, unfathomable challenges.
The Grace & Fire Weaving Collective is a group of women who weave in a style uniquely their own — a reflection of heritage passed down through mothers, grandmothers, and communities who have protected this craft for generations. These women choose to work exclusively with our collective, allowing us to build something rare and deeply rooted: trust, consistency, and shared purpose.

A Different Model — Built on Dignity
Traditional marketplaces can be unpredictable for artisans. Many weavers spend hours creating beautiful textiles only to travel to crowded markets where sales are uncertain, tourists are few, and bargaining often diminishes the true value of their work.
Our model is intentionally different.
Grace & Fire provides funding for:
-
New looms
-
Spinners
-
High-quality thread
These tools are not simply materials — they are opportunities. They allow women to grow their craft sustainably and to weave from their homes while remaining present for their families.
We pay each weaver per inch, based on fair market rates, ensuring their artistry is compensated honestly and transparently. There is no negotiating. No uncertainty. Just respect for their skill and time.
And perhaps most importantly, we offer consistent monthly opportunities to sell their work — a reliability that allows these mothers to plan, provide, and dream forward.
A Safe and Trusted Place - Casa Tabito
Rather than taking their weavings into competitive marketplaces, the women bring their finished pieces to Casa Tabito, our trusted partner clinic. Their trusted provider.
Casa Tabito is more than a drop-off location. It is a place where the women already feel comfortable — a space rooted in care and familiarity.
Here:
-
They are paid fairly and without negotiation.
-
The process is calm, respectful, and supportive.
-
Their children can play safely while they visit.
This matters. Because the experience surrounding the work should honor the women just as much as the final product does.
Weaving as a Path Forward
When you hold a Grace & Fire piece in your hands, you are holding more than beautiful craftsmanship. You are holding the result of a system designed to create dignity — one where women are not forced into uncertainty but are instead supported in building sustainable income through their own talent.
Each weaving represents:
-
Time spent at home with family
-
Culture preserved through artistry
-
Economic opportunity created through consistency
-
A mother choosing hope over limitation
This is the quiet power of the collective.

Why It Matters
The Weaving Collective is not charity. It is partnership.
We believe that women deserve fair pay, predictable opportunities, and environments where their children are welcomed — not obstacles to productivity but part of the fabric of life itself.
When you choose Grace & Fire, you help create a cycle where artistry is valued, culture is protected, and mothers are empowered to provide in ways that honor their role at home and within their communities.
And that is the true story woven into every piece.
